What should I wear?
The Detour is all about being comfortable and enjoying yourself. Both Half Day and Full Day tours include guided walks, so walking shoes and comfortable attire is recommended. Please note that the Australian sun can be very harsh. On sunny days, please cover up as much as possible.
Do I need to bring anything?
We will do everything possible to ensure your day is comfortable. The tour vehicle is equipped with:
- Chilled bottled water and sparkling water
- Seasonal fresh fruit hamper
- Boutique mints
- Sunglasses
- Hats
- Sunscreen (SPF 50+)
- Umbrellas
- Rain jackets
- Towels
- Comprehensive First Aid Kit
If you have any medication please ensure you bring it along. Also if you have other dietary needs, please notify Richard Graham at richard@mysydneydetour.com to best prepare for your tour.
What happens if bad weather is forecast?
As a part of our first class service, we do not operate in bad weather and have done everything possible to accommodate for this.
Our purpose built booking system automatically sends you an email the day before your tour date informing you if bad weather is forecast for the day of your tour.
If this happens, Richard Graham will personally call you to organise another date or to inform you how to select another tour date using our on-line booking system.
Cancelled tours due to bad weather will be automatically refunded.
What happens if it rains whilst on the tour?
In the event that it rains whilst on the tour we are well prepared with umbrellas, rain jackets and towels to ensure that you are kept as comfortable as possible.
If rain persists, we can change the tour to accommodate.
