I watched Badla a few weeks ago and recently finished watching The Invisible Guest. For those who don’t know, Badla is a Bollywood remake of the Spanish movie Contratiempo (The Invisible Guest). As the original movie was in Spanish, I had to heavily rely on subtitles. Here are some points which I would like to share with you regarding my experience of watching both movies.

Storyline

What is your review of the movie Badla

Both movies have a similar storyline revolving around the murder of a businessman in a hotel room. The storyline in Badla is a bit more complex as it involves a web of lies and deceit. The movie keeps the audience guessing until the very end, with multiple twists and turns. On the other hand, The Invisible Guest has a more straightforward plot, but still manages to keep the audience engaged with its suspenseful elements.

Acting

Badla Acting

The acting in both movies is top-notch. Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu deliver standout performances in Badla, while Mario Casas and Ana Wagener shine in The Invisible Guest. The actors in both movies manage to convey the emotions of their characters effectively, making the audience invested in the story.

Direction and Cinematography

The direction and cinematography in both movies are impressive. Badla is shot beautifully, with the camera capturing the scenic beauty of Scotland, where the movie is set. The Invisible Guest, on the other hand, is shot mostly in a single location, but the director manages to keep the audience engaged with his clever use of camera angles and lighting.

Music

The music in Badla is composed by Amaal Mallik, while the music in The Invisible Guest is composed by Fernando Velazquez. Both soundtracks are excellent and complement the mood and tone of the movies perfectly.

Which one is better?

It’s tough to say which movie is better as both have their strengths and weaknesses. Badla has a more complex plot and better cinematography, while The Invisible Guest has a more straightforward plot but still manages to keep the audience engaged with its suspenseful elements.

If you’re a fan of Bollywood movies and haven’t watched Badla yet, I highly recommend it. The movie is a well-made thriller with excellent performances by the lead actors. If you’re a fan of Spanish cinema, then you should definitely watch The Invisible Guest.
