Sydney International Airport is the busiest airport in Australia and serves millions of passengers each year. The airport has three terminals: Terminal 1 for international flights, Terminal 2 for domestic flights, and Terminal 3 for Qantas flights. The airport is located about 8 kilometers south of the Sydney CBD and is easily accessible by train, bus, and taxi.

Can I stay in Sydney International Airport overnight?

Yes, you can stay in Sydney International Airport overnight, but there are some restrictions you need to be aware of. The airport is open 24 hours a day, so you can technically stay there overnight, but you will be limited to certain areas of the airport.

If you are in Terminal 1, you can stay in the public area of the terminal, including the food court and lounges. However, you cannot stay in the departure lounge or the transit area unless you have a valid boarding pass for a flight departing within 24 hours.

If you are in Terminal 2 or Terminal 3, you can stay in the public area of the terminal, but you cannot stay in the departure lounge or the transit area unless you have a valid boarding pass for a flight departing within 24 hours.

Sleeping at Sydney International Airport

If you are planning to sleep at Sydney International Airport, be prepared for a less than comfortable experience. The airport has limited seating, and most of it is not designed for sleeping. There are some benches and chairs scattered throughout the terminals, but they are often occupied by other passengers.
