If you’re looking to spot kangaroos on the beach along the South Coast of New South Wales, you’re in luck! There are several highly likely places where you can encounter these iconic Australian animals in their natural habitat.

One of the best spots is Pebbly Beach in the Shoalhaven region, famous for its beach-loving kangaroos. Here, you can meet the local ‘roos, camp under the stars, and enjoy scenic bushwalks.

Another fantastic location is Depot Beach in Murramarang National Park. The grassy clearings around the beach and the Pretty Beach campground are known for their kangaroo sightings. Caves Beach in Jervis Bay is also a great spot to see these marsupials hopping along the shore.

If you’re staying near Kangaroo Valley, you’ll have a good chance of spotting kangaroos in the area. Alternatively, head to Bawley Point, where kangaroos are often seen grazing on the local golf course or near the beaches.

Remember to keep a respectful distance from the kangaroos, as they are wild animals. Avoid feeding or attempting to pet them, and enjoy observing these magnificent creatures in their natural surroundings. With some luck and patience, you’ll have unforgettable encounters with kangaroos along the stunning South Coast of New South Wales.
