If you’re planning a trip to Sydney, you may have heard of the Western suburbs, which have a reputation for being rough and dangerous. But what about Meadowbank? Is it part of the notorious Western suburbs of Sydney?

The answer is no, Meadowbank isn’t part of the Western suburbs as such. It’s located west of the Sydney CBD, as most Sydney suburbs are. Meadowbank is close to Ryde and Rhodes and is actually directly across the river from the Homebush Olympic Precinct. As far as the “Notorious Western Suburbs” go, Meadowbank is relatively safe and peaceful.
