Is McDonald’s Halal in Sydney?

If you’re a Muslim traveler planning a trip to Sydney, you may be wondering if McDonald’s serves halal food in the city. Unfortunately, the answer is no. While there are 13 McDonald’s locations in Australia that serve halal food on a trial basis, none of them are in Sydney.

According to Your Guide to Halal Eating McDonald’s, the only McDonald’s locations in Australia that are currently serving halal food are located in Western Australia. These locations include McDonald’s Yirrigan Drive & Chesterfield Road in Mirrabooka and McDonald’s 97-99 Cheltenham Street in Highgate.

While it’s disappointing that there are no halal McDonald’s locations in Sydney, there are still plenty of other halal food options available in the city. Sydney is home to a vibrant Muslim community, and there are many halal restaurants and food stalls throughout the city.

One popular spot for halal food in Sydney is the Mamak Malaysian Restaurant. This restaurant serves up authentic Malaysian cuisine, including roti canai, nasi lemak, and satay. Another great option is the Al Aseel Lebanese Restaurant, which offers a variety of traditional Lebanese dishes like shawarma, falafel, and hummus.

For those who are looking for something a little different, Sydney’s food truck scene is a great place to explore. Many of the city’s food trucks serve halal food, including the Knafeh Bakery truck, which serves up delicious Middle Eastern sweets like baklava and knafeh.
